Salespeople Get A Run For Their Money!
Every time Tyler and I are together, God does miraculous stuff through us. Tyler came with us on outreach yesterday, and he and I went out together.
We went to an elderly man named Joe's house who we first met last week. Tyler struck up a conversation with Chris, who is Joe's caregiver. He's in his early 20s, and Tyler and I prophesied over him. He was a believer, and you could tell he knew the Lord, but he had come out of a drug background and just needed to be loved and given some hope. I asked him if he had ever felt the presence of God before. I asked him to stretch out his hands, and we began to invite Holy Spirit. We didn't touch Chris's hands...we just "hovered" our hands around his, and he said he felt warmth on his hands! It's so wonderful to watch God show up when we invite Him. He's so loving and full of grace.
After praying, Tyler talked to Chris about tongues and asked him if he'd like to receive his heavenly prayer language. I love how Tyler calls it that. Chris was honest and said that it kind of scares him, but he was open to it, and he let us pray it over him. Tyler encouraged him to pray in his new heavenly language when he's alone with God, even though it may sound weird at first.
From there, we walked down the street, and there was something that caught my attention about one of the houses...in front of it, propped up on the curb at the street, was what looked like a prophetic painting. I told Tyler I felt like we should knock on their door and see what God wanted to do. We did, and a lady named Kelly answered. I asked her if she needed prayer for anything, and she said her brother Greg did because of cancer and a legal battle he was in the midst of. We laid hands on Kelly and prayed for her and her brother Greg. We also prophesied over her. When Kelly first opened her door, the smell of the house and the atmosphere in her house reminded me of Jane Baldridge, and so I leaned into it and told Kelly that she really has a gift of hospitality, and that when she welcomes people in, they really feel taken care of. Well come to find out, Kelly is a foster mom! She has several foster kids. (By the way, Chris--the guy we ministered to before--he was also a foster kid growing up. Language of the Spirit. And later last night Tyler and I watched a clip of a movie, and in it the main character was a foster kid growing up).
Tyler prophesied over Kelly too. Then I asked Kelly if she or anybody else in the house had trouble with their left ankle. She said no, but her mother Mary does. I showed Kelly my hand where I had written on it 4 words of knowledge earlier in the day, one of which was "left ankle." She explained how her mom had surgery on her feet, and they put metal screws in there, and somehow the screws broke. Mary had just pulled up at the house too...perfect timing. We asked Kelly if we could pray for her mom. She said absolutely.
So we went to the car to pray for Mary, and laid our hands on her feet. I showed her how I had written on my hand about left ankle and that God had given me that clue earlier in the day. We prayed a couple times and her pain level decreased from about an 8 to a 4 I think.
When we left the house, we met back up with Andrew Earle and Ben Donald, and they had just led a guy named San to the Lord!
Fast forward a couple hours. Tyler and I went to Chipotle to eat supper together and hang out, and while we were there, I got a phone call from Andrew Earle. He left a message saying that he left his computer in my car. So we went to his house to take it over to him, and when we got there, I told Andrew that I don't think it's an accident that we saw him twice in one day! He said, that's funny because there are 2 salespeople at the door trying to sell them something. Tyler asked him if they'd gotten slain in the Spirit yet? We said well let's get 'em!
We got out and went over to the door and introduced ourselves to the salespeople...Stephan and Cassie. Stephan was very outgoing, and I immediately asked him if he'd ever thought about preaching the gospel in front of thousands, and I told him how he has an evangelistic anointing on his life. We got to talking and as I was talking to Stephan, I felt a tingling sensation on my left heel area of my foot. I asked him if he had pain in his left heel. He said it's in both feet, painful, and they were broken. He took off his left shoe, and his foot wasn't even straight. It was like it was bent sideways some. He said he's had pain for quite a while. I asked him if we can pray for him. I called Tyler over and Andrew and his wife Whitney. We started praying. His friend Cassie was freaked out and skeptical. She said, "Are you for real?! You're going to heal him?!" As we prayed, he started feeling tingling in his feet, and his pain started going away!!! Holy Spirit washed all over him, and he had a real encounter with God. He was freaked out. He started jumping up on his feet and jumping around so excited that he could do it without pain! Then we prayed for Cassie, who was suspicious at first, and as we prayed she started experiencing tingling all over her to the point that she almost couldn't take it anymore. She was getting totally touched by God. God did some inner healing from shame and condemnation, and she was saying, "I've been to church but never felt this before! I've read the Bible but never felt this before! Why doesn't this happen in church?"
It was so awesome because they came to Andrew's door to sell something, but they ended up getting touched by God, healed, and fed. Andrew invited them in to eat with them. Amazing. What a divine appointment. I love You Jesus. I recorded both of them giving a summary of what happened to them.
